Not too long ago, I was in a period where I considered retro clothing to be hip and trendy to the point that I consult my little black book of retro stores. While I still do love retro clothing, the phase where I frequent at least ten retro stores a week has thankfully passed.
My girlfriend wasn’t too agreeable with this phase at first but she joined in the fray when she saw just how pleasurable it is to hunt for that perfect piece of apparel, and to pay a little more than peanuts for it!
The girls would love the Thea Vintage store where designer labels such as Dolce & Gabbana can be unearthed. The men can find skinny jeans that fit, but if you can’t, move along then. The What Goes Around Comes Around store is also a favourite of ours. Turnover is superbly fast so we are assured of new stock almost every time we visit. My girlfriend has found a nice Vivienne Westwood gown while I was content to bring home several rock T-shirts from the 1980’s.
What about you, which London thrift store is your favourite?
